Lunch, Snacks, and Personal Items
Students in grades TK–5 eat lunch during the school day. Breakfast and lunch are currently provided free of charge. If your child would like a free cafeteria lunch, they must be included in the morning lunch count.
To protect instructional time for all students, we are unable to accept lunches dropped off at the office from outside food vendors. In addition, water bottles, clothing, or other personal items will not be accepted through the office. Please be sure your child has everything they need before the school day begins.
Healthy Choices & a Balanced Lifestyle
In an effort to promote a balance lifestyle, students are strongly encouraged to bring healthy lunches. Great lunch options include sandwiches, cheese and crackers, vegetables, and fruit. Please help your child limit chips, desserts, and other sugary foods at school.
Soda is not permitted at school. Students are encouraged to get milk from the cafeteria (at no charge) or bring juice or water. Research shows that staying hydrated—especially with water—helps the brain stay focused and ready to learn.
Food Sharing & Portions
For health and safety reasons, students are not allowed to share food. Please send only single-serving portions. Large bags of chips, cookies, or similar items should not be brought to school.
Morning Snack
Many students eat a snack during morning recess. Please provide a healthy snack to help your child get through the morning. Snacks may be eaten at the tables under the shaded structures on the playground. Students are expected to clean up after themselves and dispose of all trash properly.
Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe, healthy, and focused learning environment for all students.
